How it works

From a gazette page to a plain answer.

Read from the source

Every week the Bulletin Officiel publishes thousands of legal announcements as PDF pages. Merle reads each one and records the company, the event and the people named in it.

Search in either script

Names are published in Arabic and in French. Type Atlas or اطلس, Rachid or رشيد: both spellings are found.

See the whole story

A company’s filings are linked together: incorporation, ownership changes, new managers, a move, dissolution. Each one opens on its source page.

Questions

Plainly answered.

Where does the information come from?
Only from the Annonces légales of the Bulletin Officiel, published by the Secrétariat Général du Gouvernement. Companies are required by law to publish these announcements; they are public. Every result links to the page it was read from.
How current is it?
New issues of the gazette are added every week, as they are published. The date of the latest issue read is shown on this page.
How accurate is it?
Announcements are read automatically by models trained on the gazette’s own pages and tested against hundreds of hand-checked announcements. Unusual pages are flagged for review. For anything that matters, open the source page: it is one click away.
Why do I need an account to see names?
Company search is open to everyone. The names of the people behind a company are shown to signed-in users, which keeps casual scraping of personal names in check. An account is free.
Can I search by a person’s name?
Searching by a person’s name is available to approved professional accounts (due diligence, legal, press). You can request it from your account page; every person search is logged.
My name appears. Can it be removed?
The underlying announcement is a public legal record and remains in the gazette. You can ask us to review how it appears here; see removal requests.
